This new legal structure formalizes our long-standing commitment to scaling reforestation and mitigating the worst effects of climate change.

Seattle, WA - October 30, 2026 – Mast Reforestation, (Mast), a world leader in end-to-end reforestation and carbon removal, today announced that it has officially converted its corporate structure into a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation (PBC).

While Mast has always prioritized its operation to scale resilient and native reforestation after catastrophic wildfire, this transition enables our leadership and board of directors to weigh the interests of all stakeholders—including our customers, employees, community, and ecosystems—alongside traditional financial returns.

Mast’s Public Benefit Purpose

Make ecosystem restoration scalable to mitigate the worst effects of climate change and ensure human flourishing for generations.

"In 2016, when I founded Mast, I wanted a way to enshrine the mission into the untouchable core of Mast. Make it measurable. Make it a commitment to our customers and employees," said Grant Canary, Founder & CEO of Mast. "Since our founding, PBCs have become far more established and I’m immensely proud to root our mission into the future.”

Under this advanced structure, Mast will continue to operate with regular accountability reporting on its progress toward these public benefit goals to its team and Board of Directors.
